The purpose of the Authority, is “. . . promoting and expanding for the public good and welfare, industry and trade within Butts County and reducing unemployment to the greatest extent possible. . . .”
The Development Authority meets the 2nd Friday of every month. Development Authority members are appointed by the Butts County Commissioners and serve four year terms (Development Authority) and five year terms (Industrial Development Authority).
