The quarterly meeting of the Butts County Development Authority (IDA) and the monthly meeting of the Development Authority of Butts County (DABC) will meet on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 8:30 a.m. The offices of the Development Authority have relocated to the Historic Butts County Courthouse at 25 Second Street, Jackson, GA 30233. Unless otherwise noted, all Development Authority meetings will be held in the Courthouse Conference Room.
All Development Authority meetings are open to the public and appropriate safeguards taken for safe distancing; however, during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, visitors may attend via conference call using the provided dial-in information. Should you wish to attend in this manner, we would ask that you identify yourself when calling in so that we may accurately report attendees.
Pursuant to the directives of Governor Kemp to limit public gatherings to aid in halting the spread of the novel coronavirus (COVID-19), the Authority’s January 8, 2021 Board Meeting will be physically limited to members, required staff, and attendees pre-screened per CDC guidelines for travel to high-risk regions or symptoms, only. However, the video and/or audio of portions of the meeting open to the public will be available via video and/or audio call-in
The meeting is anticipated to be physically conducted in the Authority’s board room with appropriate social distancing per CDC guidelines. In the event a quorum of board members are unable to attend in-person due to COVID-19 precautions, the meeting will be held with a quorum of members participating by video and/or audio conference, in compliance with the emergency provisions of the Open Meetings Act and the Governor’s State of Emergency Order, as amended.
Immediately following adjournment of the Authority meetings, the Authority will begin its annual planning session. Due to COVID-19 related travel restrictions, the planning sesion will be facilitated virtually. For those who are unable to attend in person, there will be access via Zoom with the following links:
